Frequently Asked Questions

We work entirely remotely, travelling to your location for your session. Occasionally, depending on the training that is being preformed, we will arrange to meet at a dog park or location suitable for the session. 

All of our sessions are booked on a one-on-one basis. This allows us to focus all of our attention on your dog, working through their individual needs in a manner that is tailored specifically to them to assure their success. We do not offer group classes at this time.

With one-on-one sessions we can configure our session specifically for your dog, rather then splitting an hour up between several dogs with different needs. You will see a drastic change in the way your dog learns and behaves, and he will progress much faster than when lesson are stretched over several weeks. Additionally, I set goals and training routines for you and your dog that can be worked on and reinforced between sessions.

The fees include travel to and from the client location (in our service area), training supplies and equipment, one-on-one instruction, written training plan after the initial assessment and progress updates after every session. All treats are included; if your dog has any allergies, please let me know so that I can find appropriate choices suitable to their diet. 

We make it a rule to always end a training session on a successful note, and occasionally we will run a few minutes longer. This time is also included, no hidden fees or extraneous charges. 

For the initial assessment, your participation in the goal setting  and assessment portion is required. For additional sessions for basic obedience, tricks and behaviors, sessions can be conducted without the owner present if necessary, with a hand-over session conducted with the owners on completion of the training goals. Please keep in mind that consistency is important to successful training, and that we firmly believe that the trainer and family need to provide that consistency as a group. 

The best training method for your dog depends on their personality, behavior, and individual needs. We will assess your dog and recommend a training program that is tailored to their specific needs.

Yes, we offer leash training to teach your dog to walk calmly on a leash without pulling or lunging. This can make walks more enjoyable for both you and your dog.

Off leash walking is one of my favorite activities with my dog, and we can make it your favorite too! 

Of course! Whether you have a new puppy thats still learning the ropes, or an under-socialized older dog, we can help. Socialization is an on-going processes, but we can make it easier by teaching you how to read your dogs signals, as well as the signals of other dogs. We can discuss how to choose playmates for your pooch that compliment their personality, and how to deal with potentially stressful situations before they escalate. 

Bookings can be made by phone or email at present, or can be setup at a reoccurring time on a set schedule as needed. 

We accept payment of our invoices in cash or e-transfer. Payments are due prior to the training session.
